I have been working on squares for an online friend who is making a comfortghan for her b/f's mother, who is having surgery. I found the pattern for this lacy square and after doing the first 4 rounds TWICE, I couldnt get it to look right. Then it occured to me that the instructions seemed to complicate everything....the beginnings and endings of rounds only confused me and I thought to myself, "I can do this an easier way." So I did...and THEN the square came out just fine. And who can tell the difference....I sure couldnt. I did do the last round differently, since I didnt want a scalloped edge. Find the pattern HERE
Here are some more squares I made.....

Thanks, naida :) I found a LOT of granny square patterns online, luckily, since I dont have any pattens of my own. My D wants me to make an afghan using the Friendship Ring squares, so now I have another project to work on....like I dont have enough now :)
